Alex's Special Day with Mom & Dad

Alex had some special time alone with Mom and Dad Sunday afternoon while Elena played with Grandma Sandy. We went to see a dinosaur movie at the IMAX theater and then had lunch together at Max & Ermas. So fun!

Alex Turns 3!

Alex's 3rd birthday celebration included a party at his school with all his friends, a trip to the museum with Mom, Dad and Elena and another birthday cake at home that evening.

More Florida Fun

Elena showed off her walking skills by pushing a shopping cart during a second visit to see Grandma and Papa in Florida this year.

Easter Morning

Our Easter celebration included brunch with the Galvins. Aunt Melinda, Uncle Tony, Baby Ellie, Grandma Sandy, Uncle Bill and his friend Kathy all came over to our house.

Guess Who Is Coming To Town?

Alex was so happy that the Easter bunny was coming to visit that he even made up a little dance. He was a little shy about doing the dance with an audience. When asked what the Easter Bunny would bring, he announced trains and Uncle Bill!

Working in the Garden

Alex has been a big help with planting flowers in the garden this spring. He helped pick out which flowers we should buy, planted flowers, pulled weeds, spread the mulch, and used the hose to water the flowers with Mom every few days.

A Dance Show

Alex's class put on a dance performance for the parents. He was a little shy, but still adorable!

Florida Fun in the Sun

We wasted no time in getting to the pool on our first day in Florida. Being in our bathing suits was a welcome change from the 2 feet of snow at home. Alex & Elena shared a seat poolside before jumping in. Elena liked her floating dolphin, and Alex quickly remembered his swimming skills from last summer.

Elena is Crawling!

Christmas Eve in Michigan

Elizabeth's birthday is Christmas Eve. The kids all sang happy birthday and helped to make a big fuss to make her feel special.We were very excited to be in Michigan to celebrate Elena's first Christmas as a Walker!

Santa Visits Michigan, Too!

Santa makes a special visit to Uncle Jimmy's house every year on Christmas Eve. He asks the kids about any last minute requests that may not have made it onto his list, and reminds them that they must go to sleep early that night in order for him to visit their house.

Alex and Elena both sat on Santa's lap to tell him what they wanted. It is a little hard to hear them in this video over the craziness of the Walker clan in the background, but Alex made sure Santa heard about his train request.

We only celebrate Christmas in Michigan every other year, so the kids look forward to the chaos of seeing their grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, great uncles, great aunts and all the other extended family all at the same time.

A Big Brother Present from Grandma Sandy

Elena is home from Guatemala and Alex has a big brother present to unwrap. What could it be?

Big Brother Alex

Alex is very excited to be a big brother! After practicing tha last few months with baby dolls, he was ready to put his skills to work on the first night Elena was home. While Elena hung out in her bouncy seat, Alex picked out a favorite "baby" book with Elmo and Big Bird and read it to her.

Ohio "Vacation"

Alex had a little "vacation" in Ohio while Mom had surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Aunt Tracey and Uncle Tom took this video of Alex playing with his cousins- Nicky, Andy and Matthew- so Mom & Dad could see what he was doing while they were away.
